We expect it of ourselves. We expect it of our Champions (the Nonprofits we support). We cultivate it in our Kids (youth volunteers). It guides everything we do.
The Challenge
Small youth-focused nonprofits are doing extraordinary work in youth development — but with limited resources.
These organizations are:
- deeply connected to their communities
- trusted by the young people they serve
- creative, passionate, and mission-driven
They are often challenged because they lack:
- stable funding, operational support, and strategic guidance
- volunteer power
- a network to learn and grow with

EmpowerGen strengthens youth focused nonprofits with the resources, connections, and support they need to drive impact.
We invest in the organizations closest to the challenges young people face — and help them grow sustainably, collaboratively, and confidently
Our Model
Our CHAMPIONS are small, youth-focused nonprofits we support with grants, resources, and strategic guidance.
The EMPOWERGEN KIDS CORPS represents our team of volunteers who bring energy, creativity, and hands-on support to our Champions.
Our BENEFACTORS are our partners whose generosity fuels the entire ecosystem.
These forces, working together, drive what we call the ACCELERATOR EFFECT, a rising tide that lifts every nonprofit in our network through shared learning, cross-organization collaboration, and resource exchange.
In 2026, with your help, we’ll launch our THE EMPOWERGEN LAB to identify gaps in the youth nonprofit space, brainstorm new solutions, prototype tools and programs, and test ideas in real communities.
